WWE SmackDown Recap 8/30 : LA Knight Retains United States Championship, Nia Jax Defends Women’s Title

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown kicked off with United States Champion LA Knight addressing the German crowd, who were thrilled to see the American superstar in action. Knight issued an open challenge for his title, which was answered by Ludwig Kaiser. Despite a dominant start from Kaiser, Knight managed to gain momentum and retain his title with a neckbreaker and a “side effect.”

In other matches, Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews teamed up to take on Los Garza, but ultimately fell short as Santos Escobar capitalized on a distraction to help his team secure the win. Carmelo Hayes impressed with a dominant victory over Andrade, using his Spanish Fly and Nothin’ But Net moves to seal the deal.

The main event saw Nia Jax defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Michin. Michin looked determined to dethrone Jax, using a kendo stick and fire extinguisher to try and gain an advantage. However, Tiffany Stratton’s interference backfired, and Bayley came to Jax’s aid, helping her deliver a Samoan Drop and Annihilator to retain her title.

The episode also saw Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens discuss their upcoming title clash, with Owens asking about Rhodes’ knee injury and the two addressing their friendship ahead of the match. Solo Sikoa also appeared, discussing his rivalry with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, and vowing to support the winner of the Undisputed WWE Championship match at Bash in Berlin.

Overall, it was an action-packed episode of SmackDown, with several exciting matches and intriguing storylines unfolding ahead of the Bash in Berlin event.
