Rick and Morty has been renewed for two more seasons, extending its run on Adult Swim through 2029. This exciting news was shared during New York Comic Con, where fans were treated to a sneak peek at a Season 8 episode, set to premiere in 2025.

The hit animated show, co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, follows the wild interdimensional adventures of Rick, a brilliant but reckless scientist, and his nervous grandson, Morty. In Season 7, which marks the beginning of a new era after Roiland’s departure, the voices of Rick and Morty are now brought to life by Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden. Returning cast members include Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke, and Harmon himself.

*Rick and Morty* has been a powerhouse in the world of adult animation, topping the cable comedy charts through its third, fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons. The show has also earned two Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program.

Harmon expressed his excitement for the future, saying, “Nobody wants a universe without *Rick and Morty*. Thankfully, the possibilities for where this show can go are endless.” Scott Marder, who took over as showrunner during Season 4, added, “It’s been an incredible journey to get to Season 10, and now being able to go beyond that is an amazing gift we can’t wait to share with our fans. *Rick and Morty* – a hundred years – forever!”

The panel at NYCC featured Harmon, Marder, and cast members Belden, Cardoni, Chalke, Grammar, and Parnell, all of whom are ready to bring more chaos and laughs to the screen in the seasons to come.
