Paul Heyman, known for his unparalleled mic skills and creative genius, believes WWE’s current roster is stronger than it has ever been. Speaking with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, the WWE Hall of Famer shared high praise for the company’s talent pool, calling it the deepest and most skilled in wrestling history.
“We have the deepest, most talented roster in the history of the industry,” Heyman stated. “I watch today’s roster with awe. Look at someone like Gunther—English isn’t even his first language, yet he’s mastered it so quickly. He knows how to captivate an audience and control the energy in the room with his voice. And you have to consider that he’s likely translating in his head before he speaks! That’s an incredible skill. Then you have Bron Breakker, whose weekly growth is nothing short of phenomenal. He’s so driven and ambitious that anyone around him is inspired to elevate their own game.”
High Praise for WWE’s Women’s Division
Heyman didn’t hold back when discussing WWE’s women’s roster, highlighting the evolution of stars like Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
“Liv Morgan’s transformation over the last six or seven months has been stunning. The layers she’s added to her persona, the small nuances she brings to her role as an antagonist it’s worth studying. She’s delivering something special,” Heyman remarked.
“And then there’s Rhea Ripley. How can you not want to share the stage with her? She’s magnetic. The way she presents herself and embodies her character it’s awe-inspiring. She’s one of those talents who makes every scene better just by being in it.”
Heyman credited WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, for fostering a creative environment that allows talent to reach their full potential.
“Paul Levesque is a creative visionary. He collaborates with the roster to not only uncover their inner greatness but also bring out the brilliance they might not even realize they have. It’s an inspiring atmosphere that encourages growth and creativity. I’m proud to say I’m the biggest fan of this ensemble cast we call Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.”
