He shared that Irvin had been thinking about leaving WWE for some time, especially after WrestleMania 40. “For her, announcing was always just the way into WWE,” he explained, adding that she’s long dreamed of a career as a performer and felt some conflict with her role as an announcer. Ricochet shared that Irvin had even expressed interest in a role like Paul Heyman’s—perhaps as a manager, a role with more freedom to shape storylines and interact with fans.
Irvin herself has said she deeply values her time with WWE, and leaving wasn’t an easy decision. “I loved WWE and everything I did there,” she reflected, recognizing the enormous scale of WWE as a production and the intense demands that come with it.
