‘FRUSTRATION WITHIN WWE OVER SMACKDOWN CENSORSHIP’

WWE’s recent SmackDown event at Madison Square Garden sparked controversy among fans at home due to frequent black screens observed during the broadcast. This new method of censoring explicit fan chants drew attention within the company, as viewers noted abrupt blackouts reminiscent of technical issues or wardrobe malfunctions.

According to reports from Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, there is internal frustration within WWE over these censorship edits. The decision to black out the screen was made by the network rather than WWE itself, contributing to perceptions that WWE’s feed from MSG was unstable.

Prior to the live broadcast, WWE fans at MSG had already stirred attention with spirited chants, including one for Dijak. These chants, while inventive, underscored a clash between fan expression and WWE’s broadcasting standards.

Looking ahead, WWE’s move to Netflix for RAW starting in January 2025 promises an uncensored platform, allowing fans greater freedom with their chants. Additionally, SmackDown’s transition to the USA Network may offer more flexibility in handling such content restrictions.

The ongoing debate over censorship on SmackDown raises questions about how WWE will address these issues moving forward.

    1. Aw, this was a really nice post. In thought I wish to put in writing like this moreover – taking time and precise effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and not at all seem to get something done.

    2. I am really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility problems? A couple of my blog visitors have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?

    3. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Firefox. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon. Thanks
