Ross Tweddell, a popular YouTuber from Newcastle and a familiar face in the wrestling community, has added a new title to his name: Guinness World Record holder. Known for his deep-dive wrestling reviews on Cultaholic, Tweddell claimed the record for identifying the most WWE entrance themes in just one minute, correctly naming 20 songs. His impressive achievement broke the previous record by two.
WWE entrance music is iconic, setting the stage for wrestlers as they step into the ring, often met with fans enthusiastically chanting along. Tweddell’s extensive knowledge stems from over a decade of covering wrestling, having first made his mark on WhatCulture before launching Cultaholic, an online wrestling channel and magazine.
Reflecting on his success, Tweddell said, “This job of mine, covering wrestling all year round, means I have NO CHOICE but to be the most dedicated person when it comes to all facets of wrestling.” He attributes his record-breaking speed to years of playing “guess that wrestling theme” quizzes on YouTube, where he and his team challenge themselves to recognize themes from just a second of audio.
The most iconic WWE themes range from The Rock’s famous “If Ya Smell… What The Rock… Is Cooking!” to the unmistakable trumpets in John Cena’s entrance music.
Tweddell is thrilled to be a record-holder, even if it doesn’t make the printed Guinness book. “It’s a dream come true,” he said. “My record might not make the next edition, but at least I can print off my certificate and glue it into the back of the book.
