WWE Injury Update on Cody Rhodes Following Shocking Post-Show Attack
WWE has released an official update on Cody Rhodes after a brutal attack by Kevin Owens following Saturday Night’s Main Event in Long Island, New York.
The attack came after the show had gone off the air, with Kevin Owens ambushing the Undisputed WWE Champion and delivering a devastating package piledriver. The assault left Rhodes incapacitated, prompting an appearance from Triple H as the champion was stretchered out of the arena.
According to WWE’s official statement:

The update confirms that Cody Rhodes sustained cervical swelling and spent the night in a local hospital for observation. Medical evaluations, including X-rays, ruled out any fractures, but Rhodes has been diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine and a cervical strain with spasm.
