Goldberg, the WWE Hall of Famer, recently revealed that he will have his retirement match in 2025. During an appearance on the SEC Network to discuss the Georgia Bulldogs’ football game against the Florida Gators on November 2, he was asked about his recent confrontation with Gunther at WWE Bad Blood.
Goldberg shared the news, stating, “According to three executives—Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul Levesque—Goldberg’s retirement match is set for 2025. I think we have a good idea of who the opponent might be, but as of now, no date or time has been confirmed. I’ve got a few months to prepare, so we’ll see what happens.

Goldberg made his wrestling debut in WCW back in 1997, where he quickly became one of the promotion’s biggest stars, famously going on an undefeated streak. He joined WWE in 2003, capturing the World Heavyweight Championship, but left the company in 2004. After a long hiatus, he made a comeback to WWE in 2016, facing Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and winning the WWE Universal Championship twice while working on a part-time schedule over the following years. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.
His last match took place at WWE Elimination Chamber in 2022, where he faced Roman Reigns. After that, his WWE contract expired at the end of 2022. Fans are now eagerly anticipating his final match in 2025.
