The city of Las Vegas has successfully landed the hosting rights for WWE WrestleMania 41 in 2025, thanks in part to a substantial grant from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). According to reports, WWE will receive a $5 million grant as part of a package of incentives to bring the marquee event to the city.

Documents obtained through a public records request by Wrestlenomics reveal that the deal was finalized in under two months, with Las Vegas emerging as the winning bidder despite Minneapolis being the initial front-runner. The agreement includes rent-free use of the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall, as well as a branding awareness campaign courtesy of the LVCVA.

This is not the first time the LVCVA has provided financial incentives to WWE. In 2021, the authority paid $300,000 in site fees for SummerSlam, along with a $30,000 marketing value.

Emails between WWE and the LVCVA also suggest that the organization is a savvy negotiator. In an exchange between David Beachnau, Executive Director of the Detroit Sports Commission, and Lisa Motley, LVCVA Senior Director of Sports and Special Events, Beachnau noted that WWE staff were “becoming a bit of a challenge” to work with, particularly in comparison to former executive John Saboor.

Beachnau wrote to Motley in June 2023, “Did you guys commit to/do much welcome/branding when you hosted? They’re [WWE] trying to squeeze some stuff out of us, and wasn’t sure if they used the same tactic with you guys.” The email exchange highlights the complexities of negotiating with WWE, but ultimately, Las Vegas emerged victorious in securing the rights to host WrestleMania 41.
